HEAL UTAH AND SUPPORTERS TO GATHER OUTSIDE TRAEGER GRILLS HEADQUARTERS TO URGE VETO OF BAD AIR BILL

SPEAKERS URGE GOV TO VETO HB65, A BILL DRAFTED AND PUSHED BY TRAEGER WHICH WILL HARM UTAH’S AIR

The environmental nonprofit HEAL Utah and supporters for clean air will gather on Thursdayat noon outside the corporate headquarters of Traeger Grills to urge Gov. Gary Herbert to veto HB65, a troubling bill that will make it much harder for Utah officials to clean up our air.

Traeger, which sells wood fired grills, drafted and pushed HB65, a bill which if it stands could allow Utahns to not just smoke ribs, but build bonfires, even on a red air day! The health of our families must come first, while Utah continues to fail federal health standards.

Join HEAL and other clean air advocates to take Traeger to task for pushing policy that prioritizes their profits over Utah’s air quality — and to urge Gov. Herbert to stand up for good air quality policy!

The press conference will take place in Wilmington Plaza in Sugarhouse. That’s the new urban plaza at 1201 Wilmington Ave, behind Bed Bath and Beyond, circled by several restaurants including Spitz — and by Traeger’s corporate headquarters. Free parking available at a parking garage just across Wilmington Ave.
