Utah is well-positioned to begin a conversation about how best to transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, but the state’s “evil” leaders are standing in the way, activists said Tuesday.
The environmentalists gathered at a demonstration organized by HEAL Utah just before the opening session of the Governor’s Utah Energy Development Summit — a conference, they complained, caters to a handful of choice companies and fossil fuel interests and has only token representatives from the clean energy industry.
Conspicuously absent from this year’s agenda, they said, is any discussion of the Clean Power Plan.
