What’s Happening?

HEAL Utah is partnering with environmental organizations, community members from the White Mesa Ute Mountain Ute community, and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe to hold a rally at the Utah state capital advocating for the protection of our health, water, air, land, culture, and sacred sites from Energy Fuels Resources’ uranium mill near White Mesa. This coalition works to protect all of us from the radioactive harms associated with the uranium industry near spaces we all live and recreate. Community members will address the rally and share their concerns and opposition to the mill operating as an international dumping ground for radioactive waste from across North America, Japan, and Europe, and as the destination for uranium ore mined near the Grand Canyon and throughout the southwest.

The rally is supporting the White Mesa Concerned Community and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. All relatives and allies welcome.
