White Mesa Spiritual Walk and Protest

Join in Solidarity
Stand with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and the White Mesa Concerned Community at their annual Spiritual Walk and Protest against the nation’s only operating uranium mill. Come walk in solidarity, raise your voice for justice, and stand with the White Mesa community to protect their land, air, and water. In preparation for this event, remember to sign our existing petition in support of our partners at White Mesa if you haven’t done so already!

 

Where: White Mesa Community Center (Blanding, UT) — the walk will follow the only highway through town to the gates of the mill, located just 5 miles north of the White Mesa Ute Reservation.
When: Saturday, October 4 | 11:00 AM
What: A community-led walk in prayer and protest to protect health, culture, and the environment from the harms of uranium milling.
What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and signs or banners of support.
