Public Meetings: Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Information Sessions

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) was reinstated and expanded in 2025, opening the door for many additional downwinders and uranium workers to qualify for compensation. If you or a family member may have been exposed to radiation from historic nuclear weapons testing, now is the time to learn whether you are eligible.

Join experts from the Downwinders Clinic at one of several public meetings across Utah to learn about the expanded program, who now qualifies, and how to apply. Staff will answer questions, provide application materials, and explain the new online application portal. Those who have already completed an application can also schedule a separate appointment to have it reviewed before submission.

Public Meeting Schedule
Logan – Wednesday, August 5 | 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Ogden – Friday, August 7 | 12:00–1:00 p.m.

Application Reviews (Appointment Required)
If you're ready to submit your RECA application, free application review appointments are available in St. George, Salt Lake City, and Ogden. Call 435-251-4760 to schedule an appointment.
