West-East Connections Block Party
Salt Lake City’s Westside neighborhoods are separated from downtown and the city’s east side by I-15 and major railroad tracks, creating daily challenges for people walking, biking, driving, and taking transit. Your voice helped shape WE Connect, a federally funded planning study led by Salt Lake City in partnership with UTA and UDOT. You said: improve crossings, make it safer and easier to get around, create more walkable streets and business districts, improve transit, and bring services closer to home. WE heard you.
Now, help decide what comes next. Join us at one of two community block parties to review proposed projects, see how your ideas have been incorporated, and help prioritize which improvements should come first. Friday, August 21 | 6–9 p.m. | 9 Line Trail at 700 West or Friday, August 28 | 6–9 p.m. | Guadalupe Park, 600 West 500 North. Come share your ideas and help shape the future of connections across Salt Lake City’s Westside.
