About Meisei
Meisei (born Paul Rogelio Gonzalez- Lugo) is a Salt Lake City-based communications specialist and environmental justice advocate with a strong track record of working at the intersection of climate, equity, and public policy. With years of experience supporting nonprofits, elected officials, and government agencies, Meisei has developed and led communications strategies that inform, mobilize, and drive change, especially around environmental and social justice issues.
A graduate of the University of Utah (Class of 2020), Meisei has been recognized by academic institutions for his leadership in environmental justice. His work has helped bring awareness to the disproportionate impacts of pollution and climate change on frontline communities in Utah and beyond.
Most recently, Meisei served as Communications Director at HEAL Utah, where he spearheaded outreach campaigns around clean air, renewable energy, and public health protections. He continues to be a trusted voice and strategist in the climate justice movement.
